Most people are familiar with my technical art from my manuals and books. But our garden inspires other art - paintings on silk that are often framed, but can also be worn! In September 2005, I taught a class in painting with dyes on silk at the New York Botanical Garden. The brugmansia painting (below) was one of the predominant graphic elements for the Quail Botanical Gardens Gala in 2004. My paintings have been exhibited in several West Coast galleries.

I taught two silk painting classes at Quail Botanical Gardens in Encinitas, CA in November, 2007.
